With temperatures soaring into the 100s, it can be a fun respite to think about Christmas in July! Consider pulling out some of your favorite Christmas-time dishes or recipes to get you in the mood. My absolute favorite is hot cocoa and I've recently perfected a frozen version of this traditional favorite that will not disappoint!
Hot Cocoa Packets
Whole Milk (6 oz per packet of cocoa)
Ice
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Sauce
Toppings of choice
These fun cocoa packets that are sold at Decorator's Warehouse are AMAZING and come in fun flavors like double truffle, salted caramel, white and more. Combine packets with 6 ounces of milk per packet. Put in blender, add a handful of ice and blend to desired liking. Consider putting these in mason jars or other fun, summery containers. The trick that really takes this over the top is to line the walls of the glass with chocolate syrup. So yummy and decadent. Top with whipped cream and toppings of choice. I like to top with a sauce- chocolate or caramel and then garnish with something fun like peppermint, sprinkles or chocolate shavings. Add a festive drink umbrella or a colorful straw.
Happy Celebrating!
