When Decorator’s Warehouse started about thirty years ago, it was a one-man operation out of Dave Hanson’s garage. Today, we’d like you to meet Veronica — she’s been on our team as a lead designer coming up on 20 years! From styling dreamy custom wreaths, swags, and centerpieces to bringing our in-store trees to life, she has an eye for detail and loves making the store a winter wonderland for our many regular customers and out-of-town guests.
Design Pieces for Magical Christmas Decor
Here are some of her favorite pieces that make a statement and last for years. When you use these prime base pieces, you can swap in different accenting ribbon and sprays to change your look year after year. These items give you that high-end, custom holiday decor foundation that helps you celebrate the season in style.
1. 9x 14” Unlit Belgium Garland
We’ve got a variety of garland in-store and online, but the Unlit Belgium Garland remains a classic. You can add 25 feet of cluster lights to it, adding dimension and complete control over the look with various settings. The full garland is high quality that you can see and feel — it’s our go-to with all in-store designs!
2. 30” Unlit Belgium Wreath
Coordinating with the garland, this Belgium Wreath looks great on all standard doors, which measure 36”. With a full greenery and mixed foliage, you can’t go wrong pairing this with your other decor elements. 3. Cluster Lights
When you’re looking for Christmas lights, you may just think about the typical strand and want something that’s a particular coloring — but we’ve found a Christmas light that changes the game completely. This LED cluster light strand has lots of mini lights for big impact. With 8 different functions (i.e. steady, waves-soft twinkle, flash etc.) and timers, you can set the mood in your home completely. They are versatile (indoor and outdoor use) — and will last for years as you can literally stomp on these lights and they won’t break! 4. Dewberries

You can either select a matte or glossy finish; and because they come in different sizes, you can use them in a variety of tree designs.
Designer tip: Stuff them deep into the tree to fill in any “holes” and keep some further out in the tree branches. After applying the ribbon, you can create a zig zag pattern throughout your tree for a visually balanced look.
