Socket Cord
Socket cord provides the foundation for creating custom Christmas light displays, with built-in sockets designed to hold bulbs such as C9 Christmas lights. Socket cord is available in different socket spacings, including standard 12” spacing as well as 6” spacing for a denser look with more lights per linear foot.
There’s also 15” spacing, which is better for those who prefer a little more spacing between each bulb.
The great thing about our socket cord is that you can cut the cord to length, making it highly versatile and configurable to the requirements of each specific installation. Cutting the cord is easy, too, and can be done with scissors, shears, wire cutters or other similar tools.
We also carry connectors that make it easy to further customize the strands of lights you create.
Roofline Clips
We carry a variety of specialized light clips that make roof and ridgeline lighting easier, more practical, and even safer.
Our roofline clips, for instance, have a clip for C9 sockets, so they can be pre-bulbed before you go up to install them on the roof. The other side of the clip has a clip for the roofline, so they can be easily installed once you’re up there.
Ridgeline Clips
Ridge clips make it easy to add perfectly spaced, symmetrical lights along the peak of your roof—a finishing touch that can dramatically elevate the look of your Christmas light display. Unlike clips that need to be tucked beneath shingles, ridge clips securely snap over the ridgeline using plastic retainers, so there’s no need to lift or disturb your ridge-cap shingles. The result is a clean, professional-looking line of lights across the peak of your roof with a simple, damage-free installation.
Stakes
Stakes are commonly paired with socket cord and C9 Christmas lights to create clean, professional-looking lighting along walkways, paths, driveway edges, flower beds, sidewalks, and other landscaped areas.
Installation is simple: a clip at the top of each stake securely holds the C9 socket in place, while the pointed end pushes directly into the ground. A small lip near the top of the stake provides a convenient spot to apply pressure, making it easier to drive into the soil.
Stakes are also available in multiple heights, giving you more creative options for your display. Keep your lights at a consistent height for a crisp, uniform line, or combine different stake heights to create a layered lighting effect with added depth and dimension. This technique works especially well in flower beds and landscaped areas where multiple rows of lights can create a fuller, more dynamic display.
Multi-Application Clips
We also carry multi-application clips, which are among the most versatile of all clips for installing Christmas lights. With a double hook connection, multi-application clips can be used with C9, C7, mini light and even icicle lights, and can be used to fit gutters, shingles, and even tile roofs, securing the lights in place without damaging the light, cord, or shingles.
Lamp Cord
Lamp cord is an essential tool for creating a clean, professional Christmas light installation. Similar to socket cord but without any light sockets, lamp cord carries power between different sections of your display and can be cut to the exact length needed for your installation.
One of the biggest advantages of lamp cord is the ability to “jump” between areas where you want lights without having illuminated bulbs running through areas where you don’t. This is especially useful on homes with multiple rooflines, peaks, dormers, changes in elevation, or gaps between sections of lighting. Instead of running a continuous strand of lights across every surface, lamp cord allows you to carry power discreetly from the end of one lighted section to the beginning of the next, creating a much cleaner and more intentional finished look.
Lamp cord can also be fitted with compatible connectors, making it easy to connect sections of lamp cord and socket cord together. Because each section can be cut to the length your home requires, you can build a customized lighting layout that follows the unique architecture of your roofline rather than being limited by predetermined cord lengths or socket locations.
Male and Female Electrical Connectors
We carry male and female connectors that are compatible with our lamp and socket cord.
One of the benefits of our female connectors is the flexibility they provide when powering separate lighting elements within the same installation. A female connector can be added anywhere along a section of cord, giving you an additional connection point exactly where you need it. For example, if you’re lighting a roof ridgeline and also need to power a wreath in a nearby window, you can add a female connector along the cord and simply plug the wreath into it. This makes it easy to branch off your main lighting run and power additional decorations without running a separate cord all the way back to the power source.
A Better, More Professional Christmas Light Installation
With lamp cord, socket cord, connectors and specialized clips, you no longer need to work with pre-determined lengths of string lights. You can cut the cord to length, install it according to the needs of your setting, and not pay a second thought to coming up short on length, or about hiding excess lengths of cord.
