Halloween is just a few short weeks away; before you know it, it will be upon us! That can only mean one thing: the time to start planning your perfect Halloween party is now!
It’s easier than you think to transform your home into a ghoulishly good Halloween funhouse for neighbors, friends, and loved ones to enjoy. You only need inspiration, the right Halloween decorations, and a plan.
In this post, we’ll explore some ways you can pull off a pretty-in-pink (or spooky-in-pink?) The Halloween party is complete with pink Halloween decorations, hand-crafted centerpieces, and sweet treats that are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
So, let’s dive in!
Pink Halloween Decor: An Up-and-Coming Trend
What can we say? Pink is popular, and it’s only getting more so! In recent years, we’ve seen the color pink become more and more in vogue (with Christmas decorations, too) — and we’re here for it!
Maybe this is a result of the popularity of the recent Barbie movie (it did cause a global shortage of pink paint, by the way!), or maybe it’s just because pink is a cute and incredibly fun color.
Either way, we’re embracing it, and you’ll see many pink Halloween decorations in our collections this year.
In this blog, we’ll show you how to make the most of some of them (especially with the tree). Grab a few friends and plan the most fun pink Halloween party you’ve ever seen!
Creating a Pink Halloween Christmas Tree
Think of the tree as the blank canvas for your creativity and an outlet to get out all your spooky inspiration. Ensure the tree is properly sized for the room; you don’t want it to be too small or too tall for the setting. Putting it in a corner is a great way to give it good visibility without taking up too much living space.
Pro Designer Tip: If you want to do TWO looks, you could decorate one half in pink and the other half in the fun Frankenstein Halloween Christmas tree theme — or do a fun Fall Christmas tree theme. Either way, having the tree live in the corner works on many levels!
You’ll want ribbon, sprays, ornaments, and a few other little accents to make the perfect Halloween-themed Christmas tree.
Start with some pink, black, white, or silver ribbon (whichever colors agree with the rest of your Halloween decorations. Weave these in and out of the branches, adding a few bows as focal points. (Check out some unique new ribbon colors and patterns in our 2024 additions!)
Once you finish the ribbon, get creative with ornaments, picks, and sprays. Check out our whimsical collection of cute Halloween picks and sprays, including themed picks and sprays such as lollipops, bats, witches, and monster-themed options. Here are a few ways to get the most out of your pink and black Halloween decor.
- Decorate your tree with cute Halloween-themed accents like bats and plush spiders. Our pink faux fur spider is a great addition to any collection of pink Halloween decorations, especially a tree!
- Adding bats and pom pom sprays is a fun way to incorporate texture into the topper!
- Black and pink shatterproof Halloween ornaments and black and white Halloween flower will also add a nice touch.
Going with pink Halloween decor is easy as you just switch some of your orange ornaments and accents for pink ones. Pink and black look great together! Consider some pink-and-black or black-and-white Halloween ribbon, too.
If you aim to create more spooky Halloween decorations, consider adding skeleton-themed decorations, black cutouts of bats on the wall, or even faux spider webs to your window.
This tree decor is also a great opportunity to experiment with lights. If you don’t buy a pre-lit tree, consider adding some purple, pink, white, or orange glow to your tree - or our famous cluster lights - whatever goes with your overall color scheme!
Crafting a Spooky Pink Halloween Table
The next step in creating the perfect setting is a spooky (but inviting) Halloween centerpiece and tablescape! The ideal centerpiece will be eye-catching, centrally located (to serve as a focal point), and will agree with your overall color scheme and theme.
Start with a table runner to set the foundation for your centerpiece and add color to the overall display. If going with a pink theme, look for a runner with mainly pink, black, and white colors. A pink, black, and white plaid runner is a great option - we love this web runner that a friend lent us!
After setting the stage with a runner, you can create a sense of appeal on your dining table, counter, or kitchen island.
Spooktastic Halloween Party Food Menu
Yummy, spooky, and delicious treats are the best part of any party, and they’ll keep the neighbors and friends talking for years to come, especially if you go with some of these ideas! As you’ll see, you can do sooo much with white and pink chocolate melts and edible eyes – it takes everything to the next level!
Ghosty White Chocolate Covered Apples
To get this look, you’ll need white chocolate wafers, pink sprinkles of your choice, edible candy eyes, Granny Smith apples, and wooden dowels.
To make the apples:
- Clean the apples and pat to dry.
- Follow the directions on the candy bag to melt the wafers. We popped them in a microwaveable bowl and stirred them every 30 seconds to get a smooth texture.
- Dip the apples, holding the bowl at an angle, allowing the white chocolate to encompass the entire apple. If some gets onto the dowel, it’s not a big deal.
- Set on parchment paper.
- Add the eyes, sprinkles, or mummy wrappings — getting as creative as possible!
- Set for 20 minutes (or longer) and enjoy!
Ghost Cupcakes and White Chocolate Covered Mummy Pretzels
These desserts are simple to assemble with significant visual impact! To make the pretzels, follow the same process as the chocolate-covered apples, editing as you go! Get as creative as you want to with these fun desserts!
In some of the recipes listed above - such as the pretzels, cupcakes, and chocolate-covered apples, you can make them all pink by adding a few drops of red food coloring. Just a thought if you’re going with pink Halloween decor!
Halloween Dessert Charcuterie Board
We had so much fun adding eyes to everything! From a simple cereal mix to peanut butter cup bats and eyeball chocolate bark and pink-en-stein and mummy rice crispy treats, there are so many options! Have fun dipping and decorating all the things on your Halloween dessert charcuterie board!
